About and how to get in touch
This project was born in the quiet backyard of KINOTEHNIK’s workshop at Tartu Science Park.
Since 2008 I designed and built optical tools for photographers and filmmakers.
Over time, a familiar question gradually turned inside out.
Instead of asking “What should we make?”,
I began asking “What do we already have?”
At first, the answer was practical: years of experience, manufacturing knowledge, materials, and the ability to make things well.
Then another possibility emerged.
What if objects could do more than perform a function? What if they could invite us to notice, explore, and participate more deeply in the world around us?
As usual, (for me) the expression of that question is a lens.
Not because the world needs another optical accessory, but because looking closely reveals something easy to overlook: the world is never the same twice. Light changes. Seasons change. Materials age. Living things grow.
Even familiar places become new again.
The lens does not create that richness.
It simply makes participation easier.
Every object created here begins with the same intention: not to add more things to the world, but to make it a little easier to discover the richness already present within it.
Perhaps every close look is less a discovery than the continuation of a relationship.
Leaving traces of encounters in time and space.
