It begins...

First time out with the idea that maybe I can distract myself with what I have now and close by.
(Instead of inhabiting the ambient anxiety about what I don't or what I can't.)
Sure the fact that the local atmosphere was charged. With Tartu being European Capital of Culture 2024, with the slogan: “Arts of Survival”. Indeed.
What am I no longer noticing?
The idea was to test if participating in close-up photography, handheld, spontaneously, would change anything in my perception of the world which has become, well, quite gray. (In some sense this was an escape from actively doing almost nothing.)
I almost forced myself outside with camera and a prototype close-up lens derived from my LCDVF viewfinder achromatic eyepiece prototypes.
Returned with a smile and wrote down: "Inhale, exhale, macro!”
I hadn’t been exited about photography for some time, somewhat surprising.
I had experienced something in our ordinary backyard that I quite had not noticed before:
I had approached it differently.

In. Out. Returm. (Slightly changed.)
